Aoshima Bunka Kyozai 1/24 Mazda SA22C RX-7 Daytona 1979 Plastic Model

"The Aoshima Bunka Kyozai 1/24 scale "The Model Car Series No. 22 Mazda SA22C RX-7 Daytona 1979" plastic model depicts the SA22C Savannah RX-7 that debuted in March 1978. Known for its distinctive retractable headlights and compact, lightweight rotary engine design, it was envisioned as a sports car with a low center of gravity, enhancing its agility.

The SA22C quickly gained popularity as a base car in American motorsports, particularly in the IMSA series starting from 1979. Its debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona captured the attention of motorsports enthusiasts, securing a notable victory in the GTU class and finishing 5th overall.

This model kit faithfully reproduces the No. 7 car driven by Yoshimi Katayama, Takashi Jino, and Yojiro Terada. As a plastic model kit, it requires assembly and painting. Adhesives, tools, and paints are not included and must be purchased separately.
